Blockheads: singing
The second Tiny Moment, unplanned, unplannable.
In August 2016, approximately 20 musicians who had never all met or played together agreed to arrive w instruments in Seattle for a week of improvisation and collaboration.
The primary goal: to collectively invite Music into the room. And here is one ‘warts-and-all” moment of invitation.
This is the first afternoon rehearsal of the first Tiny Orchestral Moments (Peak Week) workshop. And, this moment was one of the first spontaneous, unplanned and unplannable Tiny Moments that unfolded when "lyrics" appeared for the already-iconic, previously-instrumental-only Guitar Craft piece "Blockhead."
This was the precise Moment when the words and singing emerged out of thin air with eleven improvising musicians. There is pure joy in the room. Can you feel it?
